OXVA XLIM Pro 2 vs XLIM Pro 3: 10.4 g for 200 mAh

OXVA's own spec pages put the XLIM Pro 3 at 1500 mAh and 77.4 g against the Pro 2's 1300 mAh and 67 g: same mAh per gram, and a longer 80% charge claim.

By Staff, Pod & Coil

The OXVA XLIM Pro 2 and XLIM Pro 3 differ, on OXVA’s specification pages, in four headline figures: 1300 versus 1500 mAh, 67 versus 77.4 g, a 0.56-inch versus 1.05-inch screen, and a 2 mL versus 3 mL kit pod. Wattage range, charging input, airflow control and compatible coil resistances are identical. Milliamp-hours per gram are the same on both.

The retailer comparisons that currently lead the results for oxva xlim pro 2 vs xlim pro 3 carry figures OXVA’s pages do not support, which is the reason for this post. There is no news hook and none is being manufactured: the Pro 3 launched in November 2025 alongside the XLIM 3 ULTRA, according to OXVA’s sixth-anniversary announcement. What this desk can date is its own reading: both OXVA model pages, that announcement and the two readable retailer comparisons were read on 15 September 2026.

OXVA XLIM Pro 2 vs XLIM Pro 3: what is the difference?

The 2 mL TPD entries are capacity figures from OXVA’s tables for a kit variant, not a claim about any market.

The output stage is unchanged on paper: the same 5 to 30 W window, the same 2 A input, the same four coil resistances. And the Pro 2 page names no chip. “X-TREME chipset”, the phrase in the rank-one retailer comparison, is the retailer’s wording; OXVA’s Pro 2 page says only “X-Treme Flavor” beside “30W Max Output Power”. Of the two pages, only the Pro 3’s names a controller, the Intelligent Photon Chip, and calls the Pulse System OXVA’s first, “with high-frequency pulse technology for steady output”. The page, as read here, gives no frequency.

What the Pro 3 buys, per gram and per millimetre

Neither comparison this desk could read divides one OXVA figure by another.

  • Capacity per gram. 1300 mAh over 67 g is 19.4 mAh/g. 1500 mAh over 77.4 g is 19.4 mAh/g. OXVA has not packaged a milliamp-hour more lightly; it has packaged more of them.
  • The price of the extra 200 mAh. 10.4 g and 5.4 mm of height, plus 0.7 mm of length: 15.5 percent more mass for 15.4 percent more capacity.

These are derived from OXVA’s two tables, not measured; nobody here weighed either device. The site’s XLIM Pro 2 vs XLIM SQ Pro 2 comparison works the same arithmetic against the smaller square body, and the NeXLIM 2 against the NeXLIM 2 Mini post covers the compact pair.

Does the Pro 3 charge faster than the Pro 2?

Not according to OXVA. Both pages list the same input, 5V/2A over Type-C. The Pro 2 page claims “25 Mins Charge to 80% (5V/2A)”; the Pro 3 page claims “30 Mins 80% Charging”. The manufacturer’s own to-80-percent claim is five minutes longer on the newer device, as an unchanged input into a larger cell would predict.

The rank-three retailer comparison answers “Does the Xlim Pro 3 charge faster?” with a yes, citing improved Type-C fast charging. OXVA’s pages give the same charging specification for both and a longer claimed time for the Pro 3. Neither page, as read here, publishes a time to full, and this desk does not estimate one. The site’s piece on why USB-C charging behaviour still varies explains why a shared connector and a shared “2A” figure say so little about the circuit behind them.

Do XLIM Pro 2 pods fit the XLIM Pro 3?

This is the contested claim, and OXVA’s two pages do not settle it in full.

The Pro 3 page carries the headline “XLIM Pods All Compatible” and then names what it means: XLIM Top Fill Cartridge in 3 mL and 2 mL, EZ Cartridge in 3 mL and 2 mL, all at 0.4/0.6/0.8/1.2 ohm, and the XLIM Empty Cartridge in 2 mL. The Pro 2’s kit pod is the XLIM Top Fill Cartridge at the same four resistances, so the pods that ship with a Pro 2 are on the Pro 3’s own list.

The Pro 2 page carries a matching headline, “XLIM PODS ALL COMPATIBLE”, with a different list: XLIM Top Fill Cartridge, XLIM V2 Cartridge, XLIM SQ Pro and XLIM SE 2, and the sentence “XLIM PRO 2 is compatible with all XLIM series pods”. The V2 cartridge, the older side-fill pod, is named on the Pro 2 page and not in the Pro 3 page’s list. That is an observation about two pages, not a finding that a V2 pod does or does not seat in a Pro 3; this desk has not tried it.

The two retailer comparisons contradict each other on exactly this point. The rank-one post says V3 top-fill, V2 side-fill and EZ pods all work on both devices. The rank-three post says the Pro 2 “uses Xlim V2 pods” and that the pods are not cross-compatible. Neither is verified by OXVA’s pages; the second is hard to square with a Pro 2 kit that OXVA lists as two Top Fill cartridges.

Where the retailer comparisons and OXVA’s pages disagree

  • The rank-three post, dated 25 November 2025, gives the Pro 2 a “0.69-inch OLED” screen, a “side-fill design” and V2 pods. OXVA’s Pro 2 page gives a 0.56-inch HD colour screen and a top-fill kit cartridge.
  • The rank-one post, dated 24 March 2026, gives no weight, dimension or charging minute-figure for either device and cites no OXVA page in the text this desk could read. The rank-three post likewise gives none in the text read here, and its pricing section names no price.
  • The rank-two post returned a 403 to this desk’s fetch and the rank-four post’s body was not read, so this is a statement about two pages, not the whole results page.

Is the XLIM Pro 3 worth the upgrade?

On the documented evidence, the Pro 3 is a Pro 2 with a larger cell, a larger pod, a much larger screen and a named chip, at the cost of 10.4 g, 5.4 mm and, by OXVA’s own claim, five more minutes to 80 percent. If the complaint about the Pro 2 is run time or the screen, the Pro 3 addresses both at a proportional cost in mass; if it is charge time or output, OXVA’s pages give no reason to move. Whether the Pulse System changes what a 0.8 ohm coil tastes like at 20 percent battery is what a specification page cannot say and this desk has not measured.

Questions readers ask

What is the difference between the OXVA XLIM Pro 2 and XLIM Pro 3? On OXVA’s specification pages the Pro 3 has a 1500 mAh battery against 1300 mAh, weighs 77.4 g against 67 g, stands 119.9 mm against 114.5 mm, carries a 1.05-inch screen against 0.56 inches and ships with 3 mL top-fill pods against 2 mL. Wattage range, 5V/2A Type-C input, side airflow control and the 0.4 to 1.2 ohm coil range are the same on both.

Is the XLIM Pro 3 better than the XLIM Pro 2? It is larger in every documented respect: more capacity, a bigger screen, a bigger kit pod, and OXVA’s Pulse System, which the Pro 2 page does not mention. It is also heavier and taller, and OXVA’s own charge-to-80-percent claim is five minutes longer. Whether that trade is better depends on whether a reader wants the extra 200 mAh more than the 10.4 g saved.

Do XLIM Pro 2 pods fit the XLIM Pro 3? OXVA’s Pro 3 page carries the headline XLIM Pods All Compatible and names the Top Fill cartridge in 3 mL and 2 mL, the EZ cartridge in 3 mL and 2 mL, and the 2 mL Empty cartridge. The Pro 2’s kit pod is the XLIM Top Fill cartridge, which is on that list. The Pro 3 page’s named list does not include the older V2 cartridge, which the Pro 2 page does name.

How long does the XLIM Pro 3 battery last? OXVA’s page claims five days of use from a full charge of the 1500 mAh cell, against a four-day claim for the Pro 2’s 1300 mAh. Neither figure comes with a puff count, a wattage or a coil resistance, so they are marketing claims rather than measurements. This desk has not timed either device and does not report run time it has not measured.
